Looking for a rewarding weekend role where you’ll help brides feel beautiful, confident, and stress-free on their big day?

Join me as a Wedding Personal Assistant – a behind-the-scenes role that makes all the difference.


✨ What you’ll be doing:

  • Helping with wedding gowns – fluffing the dresses for photos, arranging long trains, and finding hooks/loops for bustling after the ceremony or during bride photoshoots.
  • Styling support – straightening veils, fixing stray hairs, tidying bouquets, and making sure the bridal party looks polished in photos.
  • Discreet helper – carrying tissues, safety pins, cameras or other little things that might be needed.
  • Confidence & comfort – encouraging and uplifting the bride so she feels radiant, comfortable, and beautiful throughout.
  • Being a calm presence – offering reassurance during high-energy moments and helping reduce stress.
  • Organising with warmth – gathering family and bridal party for group photos in a friendly but effective way.
  • Relay & coordinate – acting as the main communicator between me (the photographer) and the couple, so I can focus on capturing the moments.
  • General support – helping keep the day running smoothly or checking timelines as needed.

 

🌿 About you:

  • Proactive, quick to offer help without being asked, and confident in anticipating what might be needed during a wedding day.
  • Comfortable helping with dresses, veils, and other bridal details.
  • Organized and reliable – able to coordinate with couples and bridal parties effectively.
  • Warm, empathetic, respectful, fun to work with (a positive, outgoing vibe helps make the day even better!).
  • Confident communicator with a friendly, outgoing personality (to balance my quieter, introverted nature).
  • A good sense of humor, while always remaining professional and discreet.
  • Interested in weddings, events, or people-focused roles.

  • Travel: Some weddings are out of town (e.g. Geraldine, Ashburton, Nelson etc.). For these, we’ll travel together in one car — no need to worry about petrol or parking. If flights are required, these will also be covered. When overnight stays are needed, accommodation is provided.

This is a casual role - ideal for high school or uni student. Prefer someone who is based in Rolleston.
